For remote supporters

One access path for you and your local agent.

Keep the coding agent and tools you already use. Forge Agent CLI gives them a structured way to work on authorized customer devices, with clear results and workspace context.

Is Forge right for your team?

Start with one real support case.

A good fit when
You already work in a terminal or coding agent and need attributable command and file access to authorized customer devices.
Start with
Install the signed Forge Agent CLI on Windows or Linux, sign in, choose a workspace and connect one enrolled device.
Know before you start
The customer device must run the Forge Daemon and be reachable. Forge is not screen sharing, an inbound remote desktop or a general-purpose VPN.

01 / THE WORKFLOW

Commands and files, without a remote desktop

Run commands, inspect output and exit status, and upload or download files. Forge provides command and SFTP access; it is not an interactive desktop, general-purpose VPN or port-forwarding service.

02 / THE WORKFLOW

Outbound connections, persistent support

The enrolled Forge Daemon connects through Forge's HTTPS relay and reconnects after reboot. Customers do not need an ordinary VPN installation or an inbound port opened on their router.

03 / THE WORKFLOW

Separate customers and workspaces

Your sign-in identifies you; workspace and device permissions determine what you can access. Separate CLI profiles retain distinct workspace context. A model or command line does not bypass authorization.

04 / THE WORKFLOW

Use supported platforms

Windows and Linux have working access paths and signed release workflows. Download the appropriate Agent CLI and follow its setup instructions. macOS device support is not currently offered.

Useful boundaries, up front.

Does Whisper only investigate, or can it repair?

Both. Specify a read-only investigation when users must not be disturbed, or authorize a repair with clear scope. Whisper can execute commands and transfer files, verify results and update cases. AI can make mistakes; review consequential work and do not assume every successful command proves a repair.

What happens when the device is offline or a physical check is needed?

The limitation should be reported rather than worked around with a guessed result. A machine must be reachable for remote work. Physical inspection, replacement parts and confirmation of actual printed output still require someone on site.

Do I need to replace my existing local agent?

No. Use Whisper in the browser or Forge Agent CLI with your local agent. The same workspace and device access boundaries apply. Forge provides command and file access, not screen sharing.
